Michael T. Norris practiced law since 1971 and was admitted in Illinois, the U.S. District Court Central and Northern Districts of Illinois, the U.S. District Court District of Minnesota, the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Wisconsin, the U.S. Court of Appeals 7th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.  He was recognized for his work with criminal defendants in numerous newspaper articles and in a television docudrama.  Part of his success came from his experience as an Attorney at the Cook County State 's Attorney's Office, giving him unique insight into the workings of the prosecution.  In addition to a career as an attorney, Mr. Norris worked as a High School Teacher in Oak Park, Illinois.  

Mr. Norris obtained his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law.  He also had a Bachelor's Degree in English from DePaul.
