JOHN CALLAHAN: It doesn't really matter how long your license has been revoked, the main question for us is are you serious in trying to get back your license. We've had numerous clients come to us after they went to a formal hearing without an attorney, sometimes even with an attorney. If they're not prepared for all of the questions that they're going to hear at that hearing, the chance of success is significantly reduced and that's why they come to us.
This isn't like high school or college. If you get 70% or 90% of the answers right at this Secretary of State hearing you don't pass. If you're rejected you need to wait four months before you're eligible for another hearing again.
Before we go to any hearings, our clients have several sample hearings in our office so that we prep them on almost every single question they're going to face. If they get those questions right, they're going to have a very good chance of getting their license back.
