DUI arrest on Labor Day weekend

Were you arrested for a DUI over the Labor Day weekend? Be aware of a few things.

The traditional end-of-summer holiday weekend is always an active one for DUI-related arrests in Illinois. Everyone makes plans to get out, get together, and enjoy one last summer weekend before eight months of cold weather set in. Whether it be a ballgame, barbecue or concert, there's still plenty going on, and much of that probably includes a bit of alcohol.

Whenever a weekend like this approaches and you start hearing those commercials from the Illinois State Police on your drive to work, warning you that officers are out there, arresting for DUI, don't take them lightly. Rest assured there will be more cops out on the road, looking for DUI drivers. Don't be surprised if you come across a roadside safety checkpoint or two.

If you make the mistake of getting behind the wheel after having a few too many drinks and are arrested for DUI, you will need an aggressive and knowledgeable attorney to help fight for you. Call the attorneys at John W. Callahan, Ltd. for a free consultation.
